Angle Park Preview
Well this is it!!! The biggest night of racing at the headquarters of Adelaide Greyhound racing, is here, the Macro Meats Adelaide Cup final and the Victorian master trainer in Jeff Britton has 4 runners in the big final. Congratulations to the Adelaide trainers that qualified their runners, Winbrook and Valladares are to tackle the interstate raiders and try and run a cheeky race against quality opposition. Good luck to all and I’m sure the Friday night meeting is sure to be a big one.
Race 1 and we can kick start the night with an early winner. The pacey Nebula down in box 2. He can be hit and miss on box rise but is very smart when on the bunny. Bogie Yates can’t do any more as he has strung together 5 wins on the trot and is a very pacey type. Add in Kalden Balerion and Woodnear who is more than capable of surprising. Box Up 2.3.6.7
The 2nd and this is an eachway special, he can definitely pinch this in Boonoona Boy. He is in the Troy Murray kennel carved out a slick BOD run at Gawler last start and can run a very cheeky race again from the draw. Sunday Shoes is well boxed down in box 1 along with the well performed Coorong Kid. Box up 1.4.6.7
Race 3 and this looks a monty for the night and that is Farmeroo down in box 1 for Kenny Gill. He can kick up from this draw and will prove very hard to beat. The big dangers are the pacey Black Bottle and the pacey Yiche out in box 8. The value runner is Shady Deal who will be rattling home late. Box Up 1.2.6.8
This is the Distance race of the night and it is a good one for punters. The main two look to be Token McLaren and Psychotic Gold. Both are very smart when on song and will be hard to beat. The roughies are Sheza Ten and the Victorian Arejay Smokey. Box Up 1.2.4.7
The 5th and the Cup Conciliation looks a ripper. There is a heap of pace and Sidney’s Shadow gets the nod for mine in a very open affair from box 3. If she leads it will be all over. Wild Soul will be rattling home and is in form along with Footluce Diva out in box 8. Box Up 2.3.5.8.
Race 6 and this is a very open affair with a heap of chances. I am leaning towards Madam Crash but I wouldn’t put my last on her!!!! Sadies Guess is in a kennel that is firing of late and will be right in the finish. She’s Illusive has the draw along with Velocity Lyrem. Box Up 1.5.7.8 in a tough race.
The 7th and this appears a two dog race. Big Dingo and Big Zap who are both very strong and have pace and it will be whoever can stay out of trouble will shine. Premier Event is smart when on song but is poorly drawn. Box Up 1.2.5.6
The Big Cup Final Race 8 and what a talented field it is. Congrats to all that have made the field and it looks a very good pay day for the 8 finalists with $75.000 on offer to the winner. As mentioned before the Powerful Victorian Britton kennel has half the field I am going with the well credential Oakvale Destiny. She loves the Angle Park circuit but if there is one downfall it’s her box manners. For mine she is drawn to win and can kick up down the back and salute. Allen Deed is so strong and will be the big improver but likes to track wide. Mepunga Armagh has the pace to lead along with Texas Titan and Blurred Lines. If I have left a runner out I’m sorry!! Box Up 1.2.4.7.
Race 9 and the two main chances are Cool Guinness and Sneaky Little Me. Both are quick early. Allen Kenny is well drawn out in box 8 and will be winding up late. Box up 1.2.3.8 in another open affair.
The 10th and the 600m event of the night. It’s a very small field of 5 runners but there is a stand out in Genghis Kahn who will start a short priced favourite. He is far too strong for these so he will be the stand out. 4 from 1.6.8.
Race 11 and Cash In Looper and Weblec Belle will start the punters elect. They both have good form as does Bogie Classic who loves to run a place. Box Up 1.3.4.5 in a very handy race.
The final event on a big night of racing and we will go home on a winner. The Todd Kelly trained Young Gun McBain. He has been runner up at his last 5 runs here and gets the chance to break through and win on a big night. Fiesty Fairy is in form and don’t forget Pawesome Gold who is owned by the Bone Collectors syndicate, who are obviously a terrific bunch of people who can tip winners. Box Up 2.3.7.8

2014 GREYHOUND AUCTION READY TO GO SUNDAY
The catalogue has been released for our greyhound Auction on Sunday 12th October. One of these greyhounds (Nitro Burst x Hope’s Up) will be auctioned tonight (Friday 10th October) to assist in the promotion of the event.
There is a requirement for anyone wishing to bid on a greyhound including buybacks that they are registered before the Auction tonight and also on Sunday.
In an added bonus Ray Borda from Macro Meats has graciously decided to sponsor the auction and has provided 19 x $250 vouchers to be drawn prior to Sunday to entice bidders to the auction and to be used on the purchase price (buy backs are excluded from this promotion).
