TELLING THE TAIL
By The Shadow

We have another strong 12 event program here at headquarters tonight and the first two races are Maidens so we get to see some of the upcoming youngsters, the highlight for me is the distance affair race 6, it looks to be a ripper so don’t miss watching this and having a wager. As always all events are Trifecta and First Four.

Race 1 - This is the 1st of the Maidens and we will go with Bourdain on top who has been in the money at his last 5 and is knocking on the door. Lavezzi and Air Outlaw for the minors. Box Up 1.4.5.8

Race 2 - Ronny Jolie has been placed in 2 of his 5 runs here and Gawler he has been showing early pace and is amongst the main chances. Chewdini was placed here last run but was well beaten and Super Cobra can run a place. Box Up 1.2.4.8

Race 3 - Its very hard to go past Lot Of Poise here on his last start when running a slick 30.26 winning by over 7L, he is the one to beat on that run. Dark Tides has been around the mark, she can be hit and miss early at times but is a must for the trifecta punter. Spring Flora will be running on strongly from the draw. Box Up 1.2.4.7

Race 4 - This is certainly a wide open affair I have stuck with Springvale Maddi who has been around the mark but unable to break through, she gets her chance here. Let’s Win Coin is better than her past to suggests she has won here in the past and is capable of surprising. Sutton Sandy is back in grade tonight and could be the surprise packet. Box Up 1.2.4.5

Race 5 - There looks to be several chances here and Aston Resort goes very well when drawn down on the rails, he looks one of the better hopes. Safe Drop is normally a tardy beginner he will be making late ground and should be the improver. Spring Phoebe has been racing well over the short and looks a place hope. Spring Mayfield is the form runner but has the poor draw. Box Up 1.2.4.7

Race 6 - How good is this race over the distance, we have the inform Frankie Boy who has 8 wins from his 11 starts here. he is a front runner and is the measuring stick. Fantastic Radley has returned in fine form he has only had the two runs at this trip here and been placed on both occasions, he will be very hard to beat with a clear run. The old fellow Sir Truculent and Dashing Wilma can round out the First four. Box Up 1.3.4.8

Race 7 - The Rasmussen kennel hold all the aces here with Victa Grosso who has been racing well here, he has the nice draw and will take a power of beating. Kennel mate Victa Haydn is the danger, he can be tardy early but only needs luck early to be sitting close enough into the back to score. Harbor Blues has early pace and was a last start winner here in 30.42. box up 2.4.5.7

Race 8 - Salt And Pepper is our top pick here, she has been in fine form with wins at Gawler over the 643M with her early pace she is drawn to have every chance. Spring Agatha is also amongst the chances she has good form at Gawler and is a handy type, add Locked and Snowy Jinx for the First Four. Box Up 1.2.7.8

Race 9 - Zipping Nebraska has the form on the board and is our top pick here she has a good turn of early pace and is strong but will be at skinny odds. Sold No Houses gets his chance to improve from the good draw he has been placed here in 4 of his 6 runs. Mai Tai Focus for the minors. Box Up 1.2.4.5

Race 10 - There are several chances here but I have gone with Harboring who was a last start winner at Gawler over the 400M, she has the early pace to lead and should be right in the finish. Chuck Rocks is on debut here and has 1 win and 3 placings in Victoria from the 11 runs he is a chance here despite the draw. Box Up 1.2.4.5

Race 11 - Scorching Sun showed enough here last week to suggest he can win a few races here in SA he ran on strongly to run 3rd here from a wide draw after being slow away, he has the good draw here tonight and should figure. Meet Joe Black is another who is more than capable he has a good turn of early pace and has been racing well. Victa Kurt is back in grade here and was a good effort when placed here last week in open company. Box Up 1.2.4.5

Race 12 - The last of a big night racing and we will go with Fun Day Friday who is well drawn he has been racing well with three placings from his last 4. Kilkenny Monelli is the danger he was a handy 2nd at his 1st run here in SA the former WA performer was doing his best work late after blowing the start. Box Up 1.4.5.8

During this period, please contact GAP on 0437 527 633 and GRSA Admin on 8243 7100 between the normal office hours of 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

GRSA SKY WEEKLY SCHEDULE TO CHANGE FROM 1ST DECEMBER 2021

From the start of this month (December), the Sky weekly schedule of greyhound racing in South Australia has changed. The first two Sundays of any month will routinely be scheduled at Murray Bridge with the remaining Sundays being allocated to Gawler. The primary reason for the change is about providing both of those Clubs with an accessible weekly timeslot which helps them to cultivate a strong base of local patronage.

In regard to trialling at these Clubs, when we race at Gawler on the Friday they will trial on the Thursday before. When we race at Gawler on the Sunday they will trial on the Friday before. Murray Bridge trialling dates will remain unchanged.
