Racing News

Our form assessor from sa.thedogs.com.au has had a look at tonight’s program with their thoughts below -

Race 1 - Rockstar Ruby (7) was backed off the map and was a handy effort when 3rd here at her 1st look, she will only be improved by the look and can go very close in this. Victa Saige (5) proved far to strong when leading throughout here in 34.51 she has been in good form. Add Deadly Mamba (1) for the trifecta.

Race 2 - Aston Carlos (4) has been runner up here at both his starts, he has early pace and is very close to breaking though. Express Black (1) tired in the run on debut he has the good draw and is amongst the chances. Born A Star (2) continues to be well supported and keeps on finding trouble in her races but must be kept safe.

Race 3 - This is the first of 6 Adelaide Cup Heats, we will go with the WA performer Nangar Rust (1) who has been racing well at Cannington over the 520m, he is drawn for a bold 1st up run here in SA. Stout Monelli (2) has been very good since transferring to SA he is drawn to have every chance. Mepunga Warrior (8) was unplaced here last week but can improve.

Race 4 - We will go with the local runner here in the 2nd of the Cup heats in Mallee Magic, he has won four of his last five including the SA Derby and has the local knowledge. Weblec Jet (7) has wins at Geelong and the Meadows and is in the Britton kennel. Aston Cade (1) and Fantastic Victor (3) can run into the money.

Race 5 - Keep It Black (1) trialled here in 30.31, he is in the powerful Langton kennel and can only improve from the look at the circuit. Gemtree Maximus (7) has terrific early speed and he looks the leader again, is a big chance if there is trouble out the back. Add Victa Reid along with Weblec Whirl.

Race 6 - Weblec Blazer (4) was a smart winner at Sandown in 29.44 two runs back then finished 2nd in the match race series, he can mix his form but is a smart performer. Mr. Fix It has won his last 4 at the Meadows, he trialled here in 30.44 and must be kept safe. Fly for Trix (2) has been in the money at both his starts since returning.

Race 7 - Do It (1) trialled here in 30.47, he has been runner up at his previous two back in Melbourne and looks the improver from the good draw. Adele's Entity (7) loves the new track and has a perfect record here with 3 from 3, she has the early pace to cross from out here. My Names Craig was a last start winner here in 30.56 and draw suits

Race 8 - This is the last of the 6 heats of the Cup we will go with Tyler Durden (2) here who trialled in 30.47 here last week, he was a good winner at Sandown in 29.49 and looks to have the credentials. Lala Kiwi (6) has won her past two back in Victoria and can run time, add Victa Grosso (7) who is very strong.

Race 9 - This is over the 730m and the two main chances are Lashes Monelli (5) and Fantastic Radley (7) both went stride for stride here last week with Lashes Monelli coming up trumps. Aston Kipchoge (3) and Porridge Box (1) for the minors.

Race 10 - Springvale Maddi (2) has been racing well without winning, she was run down here last start when 3rd in 30.34 and looks drawn for a bold showing. Victa Kurt (7) was a last start Gawler winner in 31.08, he has been placed here in 3 of his 4 starts. Add Springvale Rex (6) and Zinfandel Cilla (1) for the First Four.

Race 11 - Hot Spartan (7) was a last start winner from a wide draw here in 30.56, he is racing well and looks a major player. Run Like Jess (4) was well supported on debut and proved far to strong winning over the 595m he is back in distance here but has plenty of ability. Rugged And Ready (8) is working back to his best form and looks a chance in this.

Race 12 - Forte Nero (1) was never out of trouble here last run he has the draw and can hopefully send us home on a winning note. Another Storm (2) is better than form suggests he is amongst the place hopes. Impress Patch (3) and Twin Pick (4) are run on types for the First Four.

MOUNT GAMBIER CROSS BORDER BUBBLE AT 70KM

We advise that the SA Government still have a 70km cross border bubble, therefore, only those trainers from Victoria with that exemption will have nominations accepted for upcoming Mt Gambier meetings, however, these directions do change regularly.

GRSA would be hopeful this changes soon to allow more of our Victorian friends across to support the South East venue. In the meantime the Club have been very appreciative of the support from the local trainers and those from Metro Adelaide ensuring none of their meetings have lost.

DAISH IRRIGATION & FODDER VOUCHERS FOR MURRAY BRIDGE
