TELLING THE TAIL
By The Shadow

We have been on a bit of a run here in the last two weeks so lets hope we can continue this form through to Christmas, tonight, with a strong 11 event card there looks to be a couple of good things again and we will stick strong with our Trifectas and First Fours.

Race 1 - This is a toughie to kick off with and I like the pacey Terrific Keith, he looks the likely leader here and hopefully can pinch this. Harbor Blues is the danger, he has been racing well here and has won two of his last 3 both from middle draws. Add Vontae Mack who will be powering home late. Box Up 2.3.4.8

Race 2 - Alfieri looks one of the better bets of the night, he was run down here last start by the inform Victa Haydn, he can lead here again and hold on. Hot Spartan continues to run into the placings, he looks a certainty again for the trifecta. Springvale Maddi and Aston Carlos for the First Four. Box Up 1.2.3.4

Race 3 - This is another good betting affair and I have gone with the Matty Payne trained Aston Gypsy, she has won her past two at Murray Bridge in good fashion and was placed here several runs ago, she is drawn to have every chance. Threaten has been racing up the straight at Murray Bridge and that should sharpen him up for this. Weblec Blade and Maybe Wrong for the minors. Box Up 1.3.4.6

Race 4 - Mallee Magic won here again last week by a good margin, he is the form runner and goes very well at this trip so he is our top pick. Adele’s Entity is stepping up here, she has been finding a lot of trouble of late in her runs, she is very smart when on the lure and is a place hope here. Sell More Houses won from this draw last week and is our value runner. Box Up 1.2.7.8

Race 5 - The Rasmussen kennel have been on fire here in recent weeks with their VICTA litter and Victa Haydn is the leader of the team, he has won 4 of 6 this track and distance and is a strong powerful performer and should win again. Sir Truculent resumed with a 4th at Murray Bridge last week over the 455M, he is a chance here over more ground. Rugged And Ready and George The First for the First Four. Box Up 1.2.7.8

Race 6 - Tim Aloisi has another new one here in Memphis Keeping, he has 11 wins and 12 placings from his 35 career runs with wins at Dubbo, Sandown and Horsham, he looks well drawn to salute at his 1st SA start. Stars Aligned has been knocking on the door with three 2nds here and Murray Bridge, she will be running on again. Silver Stone is more than capable of surprising at each way odds. Box Up 1.2.3.5

Race 7 - Fantastic Victor has been in terrific form winning his last four here and Murray Bridge all in quick times, he is well boxed here tonight and looks very hard to beat again. The dangers look to be See You Smile who is another who has been in form and Stout Monelli who can carve out quick times with a clear run early. Box Up 1.2.7.8

Race 8 - This is a wide open event and I have gone with Victa Grosso who has the gun draw, he has been racing well here and should be able to kick up and hold the lead. Fly For Trix has won 4 of his last 5 here and Murray Bridge he has been in the money in 8 of his 9 runs here and will go very close again. Major Major can never be left out of calculations as he is very smart when left alone early. Box Up 1.3.6.7

Race 9 - Frankie Boy will start a very short price favorite in this he has won 3 of 5 this trip and has been beaten in the past when odds on the small field should make him a good thing. Bedrock Fred has good form here at track and distance he is the danger, put in Criminal for 3rd. 1.7.3.5 for a $1

Race 10 - Victa Jess was a last start winner from this draw at Gawler over the 643M and is drawn to do the same here again tonight at headquarters, she has the pace to hold the early lead. Stay Focused will be running on as will Twin Pick. Box Up 1.2.4.6

Race 11 - The final event on a strong card and the two main chances look to be Victa Saige and the pacey Salt And Pepper both have been racing well and are hard to split. Two Hands George can handle the wide draw here and will be making good ground late. Box Up 1.2.4.8

GRSA SKY WEEKLY SCHEDULE TO CHANGE FROM 1ST DECEMBER 2021

From the start of this month (December), the Sky weekly schedule of greyhound racing in South Australia has changed. The first two Sundays of any month will routinely be scheduled at Murray Bridge with the remaining Sundays being allocated to Gawler. The primary reason for the change is about providing both of those Clubs with an accessible weekly timeslot which helps them to cultivate a strong base of local patronage.

In regard to trialling at these Clubs, when we race at Gawler on the Friday they will trial on the Thursday before. When we race at Gawler on the Sunday they will trial on the Friday before. Murray Bridge trialling dates will remain unchanged.

KURT DONSBERG CHANGE OF ATTENDANCE DUE TO RACE SCHEDULE

With the change in the race schedule from December our Oncourse Photographer, Kurt Donsberg will restrict his attendance at the Murray Bridge Straight Track on Tuesdays to only when there are Feature Heats and Finals conducted and focus on the Friday and Sunday events at Gawler and Murray Bridge.

Those wishing to take a photo when Kurt is not in attendance after the event please liaise with the stewards on the day/night.

GRSA & GAP OFFICE TO CLOSE AT 1PM ON XMAS EVE (24TH DECEMBER)

Please be advised that the GRSA Administration and GAP Office’s will close at 1pm on Friday, 24th December (Xmas Eve). Can participants ensure all your GAP and Administrative business is taken care of prior to close on this day.

TRIALLING OVER XMAS AND NEW YEAR

This year Xmas day falls on Saturday, 25th December with Sunday, 26th December being Boxing Day. Due to critical staff being unavailable on the Sunday there will be NO trials at Angle Park over this weekend.

With New Years Day falling on Saturday, 1st January there will be NO trials at Angle Park on this day, however, they will be moved to the Sunday, 2nd January.

GRSA is hopeful that the restrictions for those Interstate participants is reduced in the coming weeks to ensure ALL Interstate trainers can participate at our Mount Gambier meetings.
