TELLING THE TAIL by The Shadow

With the Shadow on leave for a few days our friends at SA.THEDOGS.COM.AU have kindly provided their over view of each of our races tonight.

Race 1 - ZINFANDEL LISA (5) in the first of the night and hopefully she is a bit of value. Don't mind the draw for her tonight as she should get room to her outside early. Is strong, just needs to land close. SPRING MARRISHIA (1) might land a bit closer with the lack of early speed in this race and is strong. DAINTREE PISTOL (3) will improve here.

Race 2 - Couple of first starters which makes it a bit tricky but banking on FRANKY HINDMARSH (7) having some ability. Wide draw is always tricky on debut, but if the market likes him then it will be worth following. SPRINGVALE BREE (4) is strong and should be able to drop down to the rail. TIME TO FIRE (1) comes from a kennel that is flying.

Race 3 - Always good to see a distance race here and BLACK SILENCER (4) goes on top. Love the way this bloke races, he is so fierce and his midrace speed if fantastic. Should get the job done with any luck. MUSTER (8) is no slug and could absolutely topple the fave, plus he's really well drawn. CONFER (5) can add some value to the trifecta.

Race 4 - Tough little race this, can't write any of these off! Going the strength influence with SPRINGVALE RITA (4) on top. She's run good time here before and she should get a clear run early. FANTASTIC ADA (2) is lightning early and can clear these early. Just needs to set up a big enough margin. RHONDA WINE (7) is going really well at the moment.

Race 5 - Ripping heat this, think DAKOTA AVA (8) gets the job done, she loves this draw and has speed to burn. If she can jump like you would expect her to, she should be a shade too good. YODA LADY (3) will prove very hard to catch if she's at her best and she gets her chance to jump straight to the fence. AMAZED BY YOU (6) has plenty of strength.

Race 6 - Good race here and a lot of these will need luck. PUDDING MONELLI (3) was terrific last week when winning in fast time. Rise in trip is some query, but off what he showed last week then he should be able to handle it. TERRIFIC BOBBY (7) is very good, needs luck though.

Race 7 - SPRINGVALE BRAY (8) is very good, he's just drawn the wrong side of the track here. PIERRE BALE (6) has some speed on his side along with BALONNE BOY (7) for the minors.

Race 8 - Terrific Prelude final here, most of these are a genuine chance. ZEBERIAH (2) gets the inside draw which will really suit tonight. He is super strong and will just need some clear running early. DAKOTA RYLEN (6) can light them up early and find the front, tough to catch. HE'S MAGIC (4) goes pretty good and is working things out quickly.

Race 9 - A few of these stronger dogs will have the final say I think. STARBURST CANDY (1) has the good draw and is very strong, just needs to settle close enough. REV LEON (4) is another one in great form.

Race 10 - Close your eyes here, will be a hot run out of the boxes! Normally dread the outside here, but it might setup okay for DARCY DAKOTA (8). He's a rocket and could just get the fly around them. ROCKET BALE (3) is very smart and could get over to the fence early. COOLER MAC LASS (1) will get a dream run.

Race 11 - A few of these struggling for form and it's hard to have much confidence here. BETTER DEVIL'S (1) is strong and will keep on coming, can win. PRINCESS CORDITE (4) will run the trip out okay.

Race 12 - DAKOTA MILA (2) to send the punters home here. Has a nice touch of speed and strength and I think she can find the top early, would be very hard to run down if that's the case. IMPERIAL SON (4) can certainly run, he's just got to learn what to do. Can be a big improver here. MUNDULLA (8) was impressive last start, needs to cross though.
