TELLING THE TAIL by The Shadow

We can’t get any better than tonight’s racing here at headquarters, the running of the 2024 Adelaide Cup Final with $100,000 going to the winner on offer and a Group 1 event (race 8) on the program. The powerful Jason Thompson kennel have qualified three runners here and hold a strong hand in tonight’s final.  I like one of his team who has impressed me here in recent weeks in Tim Zoo (4), he has been ultra impressive and went straight to the front here last week winning in a BON 29.93 and will take beating on that gallop. Kennel mate Excavation (8) broke the track record here two weeks ago when winning the Match Race series running 29.84, he hasn’t started since and should be primed for this. Hector Fawley (1) has the gun draw and has been close at his last three starts and looks amongst the chances. Morton (7) rounds out the first four so make sure you have a crack here as all 8 runners have a ton of ability and deserve their place in a quality line up as we have here tonight, I wish all owners and trainers the best of luck and what a thrill to have a runner engaged.
