Racing News

TELLING THE TAIL by The Shadow

We certainly have a massive night of racing here at Angle Park tonight, the highlight is the four heats of the 2023 TAB Adelaide Gold Cup (races 5 to 8) on the program. The heat winners along with the three fastest 2nds will make their way through to next week’s final on Friday the 6th of October.
My top selections for the Four Heats -

Race 5 – Amron Boy (1) - has the good draw down in box 1, he is in the Brooke Ennis kennel and should be right on the pace early.

Race 6  - Launch Code (4) - has won three of his last five back in Victoria all in quick times, another from the Ennis team and is the one to beat.

Race 7 – Big Energy (6) - very impressive when running a quick 30.13 here last week in the match race series, this will be his 3rd run at the track and will take a power of beating.

Race 8 – Transponder (7) - I liked the look of him when he carved out a more than handy 30.26 here last week, the Jason Thompson kennel doesn’t travel to SA for no reason so we will put him on top.

Race 1  -  6,2,3,1
Race  2  4,1,8,7

As advised in last months Kennel Capers, a dual lure will be trialled at Angle Park on Tuesday nights until sufficient trialling has taken place to determine the positives and negatives of the dual lure at our venues.
To manage this process trainers will need to book trials as normal. Having two blocks of time this will assist trial staff manage the changing of the lure etc.
When booking online please book as normal in these slots and it will be assumed that you want to trial on the dual lure. If a trainer does not want to trial on the dual lure then please book in different time slots.
When ringing up to book a trial please advise staff if you want to book a dual lure trial, bearing in mind there is only 20 trials and once gone there will not be anymore until the following week.
