VACCINATION RULE FOR RACING IN SA
Trainers are reminded that Rule 25 (Minimum Vaccination Requirements) took effect Monday, 1st May, Vaccination Certificates must be received by GRSA prior to close of nominations for affected greyhounds to be considered eligible.

GAWLER MORNING RACE MEETING CANCELLED TOMORROW DUE TO HEAT
Greyhound Racing advise with an up updated forecast now released and an increase in temperature in the Gawler region, the Morning meeting at Gawler set down for tomorrow (Friday (10/11) has been cancelled.
BRIAN JOHNSTONE HEATS AT ANGLE PARK TONIGHT
There are four $3,700 Heats for the Brian Johnstone run tonight at Angle Park featuring the likes of Magical Mystic, Rico Nismo, Buzz The Hustler, Who Knows Gus, Who Knows Darren, Call Me Jacques, Footrot Fender and Ferocious Ivy all looking to qualify for the semi-finals next week. There will be two semi finals so the first four from each heat will qualify.
The $4,500 Semi- Finals will be run on Thursday, 16th November and the $37,500 Final on Thursday, 23rd November.
GAP RACE NIGHT TONIGHT AT ANGLE PARK
Tonight at Angle Park the Greyhounds As Pets team will be at the race meeting tonight. There will be two GAP parades (after race 3 and race 5) where retired greyhounds will strut their stuff as they have done in previous years. It's always a good night to highlight the wonderful work GAP, Foster carers and adopters do with the wonderful greyhounds for almost three decades.
The feature race on the night will be the GAP Volunteers Open Stakes which will be race 7 at 8.40pm which feature some of our best sprinting stars. There will be a rug presentation after this event.
VIRGINIA CLOSED THIS SUNDAY
GRSA has been advised that the Virginia track will be closed this Sunday 12/11 as the venue will be used by the Sprint Club.
GOTBA COURSING AWARDS NIGHT – NEXT THURSDAY 16TH NOVEMBER
GOTBA will present their Annual Awards at Angle Park on Thursday, 16th November. To be presented at the dais will be the SA Coursing Trainer of the Year and SA Coursing Greyhound of the Year.
Also featuring on the night will be a Free For All event for greyhounds which competed at Virginia during 2023. The race is supported by GOTBA and carries prizemoney of $5,535.

KURT DONSBERG ON THURSDAY NIGHTS IN NOVEMBER AT ANGLE PARK
GRSA advise that our oncourse photographer Kurt Donsberg will be taking a break this month from his current contract of meetings however he will continue to attend the Angle Park Thursday nights to accommodate the feature events at that venue.
GRSA is currently working through options at the other venues to accommodate Kurt not attending where possible. As previously advised if there is no oncourse photographer at the meeting then please liaise with the stewards if you wish to take photo after the race event.
2024 GAWLER PRODUCE STAKES – NOMINATIONS CLOSE FRIDAY 24TH NOVEMBER
The 2024 Gawler Produce Stakes will be run by GRSA in conjunction with the Gawler Greyhound Racing Club.
Once again we will offer guaranteed Final stakemoney of $22,000. The estimate for the total series prizemoney is $40,000, based on this years series. The series is for greyhounds whelped in 2022.
In 2024 we will again be offering additional incentives for trainers to nominate. A bonus will be offered to any greyhound which can win both the Produce Stake and the Gawler Gold Cup.
The jackpot has increased from $11,000 to $12,000 as Could Be King missed out on winning the Gawler Gold Cup this year after running eighth in his Heat and not qualifying for the Final.
The SA Bred bonus will also be continued; should the winner of the Final be SA Bred, there will be an SA Bred bonus of $1,000 to the owner and $500 to the breeder.
The series will be in June with the Final on Sunday, 23rd June 2024. (Pending alterations)
GRSA administers the event for the Club, so all payments are to be made to GRSA. The fees are, one-off payment option $121.00 or the sustaining option of $33 (first), $55 (second) and $88 (Final).

NEW SPONSOR FOR MURRAY BRIDGE SUMMER DERBY AND OAKS IN DECEMBER
The Murray Bridge GRC are please to announce a new sponsor for their Club in Fischer Motors, they will also take the naming right sponsors of both the Summer Oaks and Summer Derby to be run in December. Along with the sponsorship the Club has increased both races to $7,500 each from $5,000 and added a $1000 bonus for the trainer of each Final if they are a member of the MBGRC. Conditions -

FESTIVAL OF FIRE TO HEAT UP ANGLE PARK IN DECEMBER
GRSA will continue to support local participants in December when the Festival of Fire series of races are conducted. GRSA is thrilled to conduct for the third year, the Festival of Fire series, our newest and most exciting fortnight on the South Australian greyhound racing calendar.
The “Festival Of Fire, series will provide opportunities for the best 48 nominations for the 530m trip, the best 16 nominations over 595m, and the best 8 nominations for a 730m event. There will be heats and final of a restricted event (0-5 wins), running from Saturday morning to Thursday night which will provide a separate opportunity for that category of runner. Again this year there will be a 530m Time Graded event for those greyhounds that rate towards the end of the Time Grading table.
The Festival of Fire is an end of year celebration for the local industry, which provides fantastic opportunities across the entire spectrum of racing classes, across all three distances at Angle Park, the home of SA greyhound racing.
The Festival of Fire series will commence on the racenight of Thursday December 14, continue into the Saturday morning timeslot (December 16) and then culminate in 5 finals and a special stayers event carrying a collective purse in excess of $100,000 the following Thursday night (December 21).
Conditions –
• Greyhounds must be SA trained.
• Greyhounds must be in South Australia as of midnight 1st November 2023 to be eligible (greyhounds that have not had their first training amendment lodged that are in SA at this time will be eligible). For those greyhounds that have left the state prior to this date however are considered SA based on the Nationals criteria of 76 days out of 150 days prior to close of nominations for each event will be eligible.
