TELLING THE TAIL by The Shadow

Tonight we have a great night of punting ahead of us with four heats of the 2024 TAB Adelaide Cup (races 5 through to 8), the interstate brigade have come over in numbers so it makes for an interesting series. I like the Jason Thompson trained Tim Zoo in the first heat, on his run here in the Match Race series last week when running 30.03 he is drawn to take beating.  Jeff Britton has a chance with Mepunga Smokey in heat 2, he has won here in the past and from an inside draw looks amongst the better chances. Make sure you have a wager on Woodside Johnny as he can run time and is flying the flag for the locals. Grand Tourer can win the 3rd heat from his good draw, he has improved with each look here and is the selection. The last of the heats is a ripper on paper, Alpha Zulu is another from the Thompson team, he can run time with luck early. Schillaci and Big Energy are amongst the better chances.
