Angle Park Preview - 2nd June 2022
The highlight of tonight’s eleven event program is the running of the 2022 Shane McQueen Final over the 595m (race 8) which has $10,000 to the winner, it certainly is a more than handy event with the favorites drawing well. We also have another strong distance affair (race 3) with 6 runners, as usual all races are Trifecta and First Four events.
Race 1 - The Trengove kennel can kick start the night for us with War Drum Express, he won here 1st up from box 7 in 30.34 and has the early pace to lead and win. Mepunga Grace has early pace and led here only to be run down late, she looks amongst the main chances again. Add Weblec Blade for the minors. Box Up 1.5.7.8
Race 2 - This is the Maiden of the evening and we will stick with Dashing Deb for Gavin Harris, she was never out of trouble here last week and is the improver from the good draw. Nugget McLaren looks to be a strong type and must be respected at his 2nd run. Box Up 2.4.7.8
Race 3 - This is the distance affair and its very hard to go past Fantastic Radley who has been in outstanding form winning his last five we will put him on top again. The dangers look to be Victa Haydn who loves to run a place and Lashes Monelli who has won her past two here on Monday nights. Box Up 2.5.7.8
Race 4 - Don’t Tell Bluey has won three of his last five here and has been running very good times in doing so, he should lead and take beating again. Zinfandel Nikki will be getting home hard as will Fantastic Victor who has terrific Murray Bridge form. Box Up 2.4.6.8
Race 5 - This is a wide open affair and the main chances look to be Springvale Rex who has been placed here in his last four, Universal Value who is well drawn down in box 2 and is a chance of leading. Add Midoriyama who will be getting home hard. Box Up 1.2.4.8
Race 6 - The Rasmussen kennel have been going well with their youngsters in Maidens in recent weeks and Queen Of Scotch was very impressive when winning here on debut in 30.55 from a wide draw, she has early pace and will figure again. Fantastic Dixie along with Extremely can fill the minors. Box Up 1.2.5.6
Race 7 - I have gone with Shall Not on his recent Gawler form which is very good over the 531M, he has been showing early pace and running good times. Lucius Malfoy is another with handy form he has two wins and three placings and can handle the wide draw. Hoogley could show up with a clear run early. Box Up 3.6.7.8
Race 8 - This is the final of the 2022 Shane McQueen over the 595M and the Victorian visitor Starlight Tyson was very impressive when winning here last week in a BON 34.23 when leading throughout, he will be the one to catch. I have gone with Victa Grosso who returned to form with a 34.26 win coming from behind, he is drawn to have every chance again. Spring Harbour along with Aston Alpha can run the First Four. Box Up 1.2.3.4
Race 9 - Victa Reid will find this a lot easier than his 5th here last week in the heats, he is drawn to kick up early and has won here in good times in the past. George The First can show pace at times, he has 4 wins from 15 here and is a chance if he can skip to the front and pinch this. Beck’s Monelli was placed here on debut over the 730M and was racing well prior back in Victoria, she could be the one with a clear run early. Box Up 1.2.4.8
Race 10 - There looks to be several chances here so I went with the well-drawn Heart Lines, he has only had the two runs here in SA both at Murray Bridge and comes to town tonight off a last start win there. Dark Tides can show pace at times and is well drawn again. Add Jack’s Well who is a class act when on song. Box Up 1.2.4.7
Race 11 - Teddy The Bear looks one of the better chances here he should be handy in the run to the first turn and is strong. Zinfandel Oompa has blistering early pace she is a tiny little sprinter and could pinch this on her recent racing. Box Up 1.4.6.8

This payment is for greyhounds for which the Second Sustaining Payment was made last December. The Final Payment is $121 per greyhound.
