TELLING THE TAIL by The Shadow

We have a MASSIVE night of racing ahead of us here tonight with six heats of the 2022 TAB Adelaide Cup Heats (races 3 to 8) in recent years there are one or two sprinters that surprise in the heats and make their way through to the final. We have a very good support card to back up the 6 heats and if you followed last Thursday you should be WELL in front.

Race 1
- We can start the night with a winner in Go Forward Bruno who was the last start winner here over this trip in 34.36, he has early pace and hopefully crosses from the wide draw. Zipping Daria has her fair share of ability and will be right in the mix again. Box up 3.5.7.8

Race 2 - This is the Maiden of the night and I will stick with Victa Speed who has the early pace to hopefully pinch this, he looks like one of the leaders and must be kept safe. Springvale Jess can improve from the draw as well as Sebon Zaidee who has been in the money in 8 of her 20 starts in a maiden. Box Up 1.4.7.8

Race 3 - The 1st of the Cup Heats and I am sticking with Stout Monelli, he has a very big motor and is a strong performer, he is well drawn and is amongst the better chances and loves this track. Zara’s Ivan is an interesting runner, the Dailly kennel isn’t afraid to travel and he should be kept very safe in this. Top Quality is resuming and is locally trained. Box Up 1.2.3.4

Race 4 - This looks like one of the most open heats, Mobile Legend is well drawn and his short course form is more than handy, he has 3 wins from his last 5 and is one of the better chances. Aston Ulysses has formed over more ground, you could nearly put a saddle on him as he is a big type who will be running on strongly. Fernando Mick was the last start winner here from this draw. Box Up 1.2.4.8

Race 5 - The Petar Jovanovic kennel produced Buzz Junkie here last week after a long spell and he led throughout to win in 30.55, this dog has a good record of 11 wins from 22 and will only go quicker with the run under his belt. Paddy Want’s Pats is in form and has wins at The Meadows and Sandown in recent runs. Alpine Butterfly is one to keep safe here 1st up. Box Up 2.5.7.8

Race 6 - Local knowledge will help Rushes Raw here, he has the early pace to lead here tonight from the good draw and can run time when on the lure. Photo Man won two runs back at Richmond and has good form at Sandown he should get a clear run here and is the obvious danger. Who Told Shorty and John Dutton for the First Four. Box Up 1.2.4.7

Race 7 - I loved the run of Giant’s Flash here last week in the Match Race series and from the draw, he will take a beating as he can carve out quick times. Zippy Tesla has been in the money at his last five in NSW and Victoria and is in the POWERFUL Dailey team. Hill Top Jack for the Trifecta. Box Up 2.4.5.7

Race 8 - This is the last of the six Heats and Dusty Bourbski has a very ordinary form of late but if you go back to mid-August he carved out a slick 29.24 win at Sandown from an inside draw and will take a beating on that effort here. Mallee Magic is always a chance he loves this trip and track and the kennel will have him cherry ripe for this. Call Me Buster for the minors. Box up 1.2.5.8

Race 9 - The Rasmussen kennel holds all the cards here for mine Victa Alby along with Victa Tony both have early pace and could pinch this if it goes to the script. Molly Irish was racing well before her past couple and is amongst the better chances from the good draw. Box Up 1.2.4.5

Race 10 - We are over the 595M here and Victa Reid has been in the money here in 8 of his 13 runs here over this trip he has the early pace to cross and looks one of the main chances. Bedrock Fred saluted for us the last start over the 530M when above the odds, he will be on the pace early and is right in this again. Box Up 2.3.4.7

Race 11 - I have tipped the Rasmussen kennel to have a big night late and Victa Kurt could give them a treble if all goes to plan, he has been well travelled of late with wins at Murray Bridge and Mount Gambier in recent runs and is a big chance from the draw. Zipping Chew will be running strongly and only needs to be on pace early to give this a big shake. Daph’s Zac and Man Of Substance for the First Four. Box Up 1.2.4.6

Race 12 - Let's go home on a winner on a big night of racing and we can do that with the Steve Brook trained March Legend, he can handle the wide draw and was the last start winner in good time at Gawler. There is a heap of chances for the minors in Katanti along with Miss Scallywags. Box Up 1.5.6.7
