Angle Park Preview - 26th May 2022
It is a big night of racing here at headquarters, we have three heats of the Shane McQueen over the 595m (races 3 to 5 ) and they look to be very strong so it makes for some exciting racing. Race 8 tonight is the Final of the Howard Ashton over the 530m and with $25,000 to the winner there look to be several chances in a quality affair. As always all races are Trifecta and First Four events.
Race 1 - It's certainly is a toughie to start the night with, I have gone with Threaten who has been struggling at his past couple, he can show pace when on song and is our top pick here. Major Major goes well here and must be respected along with Classic McLaren who has the good draw and will be running on. Box Up 1.2.7.8
Race 2 - This is the Maiden of the night and On The Whisky’s is knocking on the door, she has been runner up here at her past two and continues to show early pace. She’s Blushing is well drawn here as she has been drawing out wide in recent runs. Dashing Deb was a handy effort 1st up. Box Up 1.2.4.7
Race 3 - The first of the 3 heats of the Shane McQueen over the 595m and Giant’s Flash has the form on the board, he has been racing well here and Mount Gambier and looks a strong type. Run Like Jess is racing well and is well drawn. Spanish Miss and Weblec Pearl look the First Four. Box Up 1.2.6.8
Race 4 - The 2nd of the heats and the Victorian visitor Starlight Tyson has won his last three over the border, he has 13 wins from 28 starts and will be hard to beat. Weblec Star was in form prior to her last run over the border, she has early pace and is more than capable. Victa Reid is well drawn. Box Up 1.3.4.8
Race 5 - The Final Heat and Kinrock Star can frustrate you with his box manners, he gets a long way back and will be running on strongly, he is drawn for a bold showing again. Departure Gate is right in the mix, he has early pace and has the form on the board. Victa Grosso is the surprise packet as he could lead and can run time. Box Up 1.2.4.8
Race 6 - This is a wide open affair I have gone with the well-drawn Razzle Darryl who has box 1, he was a last start winner here in 30.57 and has early speed. Redeem A Prize was an improver here last week when 2nd and is amongst the better chances Box Up 1.2.6.8
Race 7 - Jack’s Well has cost me plenty in recent weeks, he has the good draw here tonight and should be the one to beat. Wizardry Things was impressive when winning last start at Murray Bridge over the 455M in good time, he is the threat. Zinfandel Nikki will be rattling home. Box Up 2.3.4.7
Race 8 - The Final of the 2022 Howard Ashton that carries $25,000 to the winner and He’s All Purpose can bounce back from the good draw, he has early pace and can run time when on the lure. Springvale Max has won three of his last four here and is the big danger and is a must for the Trifecta punters. Litter mate Springvale Rex will be rattling home and is well drawn. Archman gets a long way back in the run and is a First Four chance. Box Up 1.2.3.6
Race 9 - I love my distance racing and with only the four runners here it makes for good racing, Fantastic Radley is the class runner and should bounce straight to the front and take beating. Beck’s Monelli has been in handy form over the border and has been in the money at her last four. Victa Haydn has been in the money at his last five here over this trip. 5.7.3.1 for $1
Race 10 - Zinfandel Cilla is well drawn here, she has a good turn of early pace and should be able to kick up from the draw. Easy Street along with Ferocious Pedro are strong and in a wide open affair are amongst the chances. Box Up 1.2.4.5
Race 11 - Don’t Tell Bluey is very hard to go past, he has been in very good form and has a good turn of early pace, he is our top pick. Charlee’s Misty and Zinfandel Oompa also look chances for the trifecta from their good draws. 4 from 1.2.6
Race 12 - It’s a toughie to go home on and we will go with Universal Value from box 1, he has been in handy form with a win at Gawler and was placed here last run after showing pace. Spinning Pixie has mixed Mount Gambier form she could improve here. Box Up 1.2.4.8

This payment is for greyhounds for which the Second Sustaining Payment was made last December. The Final Payment is $121 per greyhound.
