Angle Park Preview - 17th March 2022
The feature event of tonight is the 2022 SA Launching Pad Final (race 8) on the program, it certainly is a handy event with some quality youngster lining up. We also have two distance affairs, races 1 and 10 that is great for the industry as we start to get a pool of stayers. As always all races are Trifecta and First Four events.
Race 1 - Tricky event to kick off with I have gone with the ultra-consistent New Year Tears, he has the pace to clear them early and is always around the placings. Aston Kipchoge will be running on as always and has the good draw. Hugs And Kisses along with Zipping Abilene for the First Four. Box Up 1.3.6.8
Race 2 - This is a Maiden and we will go with the 1st starter here Miss Scallywag, she is in the Rasmussen kennel and is well boxed. Garry’s Chaos along with Vanilla Slick can fill the placings. Box Up 1.2.4.8
Race 3 - This is over the 595M and Scorching Sun has been racing well of late, he goes well this trip and can nearly lead. Victa Haydn is a class animal he has been finding trouble of late but with luck early will take beating. Add Weblec Star who has won 3 of her last five here. Box Up 1.2.4.6
Race 4 - Tough event this one, I have gone with the well drawn Midnight Tracker, he can be awkward early but can improve from the rails. Jackpot Joan and Panama Dance are chances and are more than capable with a clear run. Box Up 1.3.6.8
Race 5 - Weblec Mist is our selection here she has been racing well here and the rise in distance will help. Zipping Princess has been handy since arriving here in SA and can figure as can Jet Blaze who will be making late ground. Box up 3.5.6.8
Race 6 - This is a wide open affair and we will go with the pacey Chicks Love Me who has been racing well over the short, he is yet to figure here in four runs but gets his chance here. Zipping Rafferty along with Outback Rebel haven’t been that far away in recent runs and are chance. Bo Up 2.4.7.8
Race 7 - This is a very wide open affair and the recent winners have all won over the short so its makes it very tough to pick, Aston Resort gets the nod as he is strong and well-drawn again with moderate beginners around him. Speed Limit and Plausible Dream are chances with early luck. Box up 1.2.6.8
Race 8 - The Final of the 2022 Launching Pad and with a couple of scratching’s Fantastic Faith comes right into the mix on her last win here from this draw 30.58, she will take beating. The danger is Lot Of Poise who has a heap of ability and has won three of his last five, add Charlee’s Misty is drawn for a bold showing. Box Up 1.6.8.10
Race 9 - Victa Grosso looks the one to beat again here, he carved out a slick 30.18 scoring here last week from box 2 and the small field will help here again. Victa Reid is the danger, he gets back early but is very strong and will be running on. Jax Kade along with Dark Tides for the First Four. Box Up 1.2.4.6
Race 10 - This is the 2nd of the Distance affairs and Sebon Panther is drawn for a front running display, she has 2 wins and 7 placings from her 10 starts over this trip and hopefully get her 3rd . Zipping Nebraska has ventured to WA last run when finishing 4th, she is the danger. Sutton Sandy and Springvale Anna for the minors. Box Up 1.2.4.5
Race 11 - The Murray kennel rarely leaves the track without a winner and Impress Us gets his chance to break through here tonight, he has been racing well of late and can give this a big shake. Hot Spartan is a lot better than his last run suggests and is the danger. Brief can figure in the minors. Box up 1.2.4.8
Race 12 - Victa Mikey has been runner up at his last three here leading at his past two only to be run down, he has his paw on the till and is our top pick. Barely’s Gem is a strong type he was a last start winner here from box 8 and is drawn to go very close. Box Up 1.4.5.8
