Angle Park Preview - 15th December 2022
TELLING THE TAIL by The Shadow
We have another big night of racing ahead of us here at headquarters and we kick off with the first two events over the 595m. The remaining card is over the 530m as always all races are Trifecta and First Four events.
Race 1 - Orson Emmy has been racing well over more ground, she is a strong type who will be running on and is getting close to a win. Powder Finger has early pace and the good draw he should be right in the mix again on form. War Drum Express along with Impress Us for the First Four. Box Up 1.2.5.7
Race 2 - Run Like Jess has been in outstanding form winning his past two here over the 530m in good times, he has a very good record over this trip and is the one to beat again. Harry is another who is in form and he looks the main danger. Springvale Rex was a very good effort here last run when defeating Mallee Magic from an inside draw. Box Up 2.4.6.8
Race 3 - The Rasmussen team rarely go home without a winner so we will go with the well drawn Clear View, she has a good turn of early pace and is drawn to lead. Slipper’s Tick will be running on as will Jax Bale. Box Up 1.2.5.7
Race 4 - I like the well travelled Howling Hoss in this, he has wins at Murry Bridge and Broken Hill in his last five and from the good draw should be amongst the main chances again. Gondola has good box speed and has been in the money at her last five so she is a must for the Trifecta punter. Box Up 1.2.3.6
Race 5 - Mr. Ticket was a last start winner at Murray Bridge when showing good box speed, he will be hard to beat again in this. Basil Brush Rose is my danger if he can be close enough early he would win as he is very strong but his box manners can be a worry. Victa Marli is stepping up in distance here and is the form runner over the short. Box Up 3.4.5.7
Race 6 - The Lauren Harris trained San Lorenzo has the early pace to lead from his awkward draw of 5, he has won three of his last four and is amongst the better chances. Miss Scallywag along with Spring Mayfield are run on performers are the dangers. Box Up 2.5.6.7
Race 7 - Mallee Magic can bounce back tonight, he is a class act when on song and should be prominent in the run to the 1st turn, he is our top pick. Springvale Roxy is in winning form winning four of her last five all in quick times and has early pace. Panorama is well drawn for the minors. Box up 1.2.5.8
Race 8 - There is a bit of early pace here and I will stick with the well performed Bobby Axelrod who has a handy record here over this trip, he should be right in the finish again. Spring Phoebe is another who has form and is very strong. Karmen Kristy has been impressive winning two of her last three this trip and track. Box Up 1.2.3.4
Race 9 - This certainly is a wide open affair, I have gone with Finniss Surprise as he is a chance of leading the inside brigade. Victa Kurt is better than form suggests and is the improver, add the pacey Velocity Teller for the TRI. Box Up 2.3.4.6
Race 10 - We will go with last start winner Calix Bale here, he showed pace from a wide draw last run and should be very handy in the run again. Elegant Ritzy is drawn to figure as is Footluce Rebel. Box Up 1.5.7.8
Race 11 - Miss Free Reign is drawn to run a cheeky race, if she can be with them early she just needs luck early to be within striking distance on the home turn. Night Wish and Footluce Dreamer are chances as is Lot Of Poise who can run slick times when left alone early. Box Up 2.3.5.6
Race 12 - Finniss Whisper hopefully can send us home on a winning note, she has been the bridesmaid at her past two at Murray Bridge and gets her chance in this to break through. Elegant Bix and Maestro Luke can figure. Box Up 1.2.3.4
