LOW-GRADE MAIDEN FEATURE SERIES AT ANGLE PARK TONIGHT
Tonight's Low-Grade Feature Series at Angle Park is an Open Maiden over the 530m with two $2,650 Heats drawn. The first 3 from each heat (6-dog final for normal graded Maiden events) will qualify for next Thursday's $5,535 Final on, 20th April.

VICTA DAMIAN SET FOR SANDGROPER TEST
Rising South Australian superstar, Victa Damian, will aim to make history tomorrow night when he lines up in the inaugural ‘Sandgroper’ at Cannington in Western Australia, a slot-purchased race that has drawn together a stellar field for the $300,000 to the winner event. Victa Damian will represent ‘Ladbrokes’ in the race, with the betting giant having locked in the young dog earlier this year, after his breathtaking National Derby heat victory at Wentworth Park.

After failing in a semi-final of the Golden Easter Egg a few weeks ago, Victa Damian received a slight setback when he pulled up sore from the run. Despite this, he has been able to work well at home since and has all systems ready for tomorrow night's race. It’s an incredibly strong field and no doubt the toughest that Victa Damian has ever faced, with the country’s fastest greyhound Wow She’s Fast engaged in the race, alongside some flying Western Australians in the form of Electrified and Elite Machine.

The box draw was held on Tuesday night and it has proven to be a good one for Victa Damian, with the brindle dog drawing box two, with Wow She’s Fast outside him in box three and a couple of other favourites drawn wider out. It’s a draw that gives Victa Damian hope in the race and one that is pleasing for the Rasmussen team.

The race will be run at 9:08 pm South Australian time tomorrow night, with many eyes around the country set to tune in.

LOW-GRADE RACE FOR THURSDAYS AT ANGLE PARK
To ensure we are programming 12 races each Thursday night at Angle Park GRSA has introduced a low-grade race for some Thursday nights. These races are for Grade 5 greyhounds over 530m that have a low WPS (Weighted Points Score). Prizemoney will be slightly less than a normal Grade 5, however, these races will be non-penalty. There will be no guarding, no reserves and only one 8 greyhound race. This should encourage those trainers who have 500m+ greyhounds but feel they cannot compete on a normal Thursday night due to their current form. We are hoping to draw from a different pool of greyhounds and GRSA would encourage trainers to nominate.
$3,505 Special event Grade 5 (worst to best) – 530m (One 8-dog field will be graded from the Weighted Points Score table of the Grade 5 pool of greyhounds worst to best grading. No guarding and no reserves. Trainers cannot nominate for this event specifically. Non-Penalty)
The first race is programmed for tonight (race 11) with the next on Thursday, 27th of April.
