ANGLE PARK ABANDONED TONIGHT
Stewards abandoned the meeting tonight at Angle Park prior to the first race due to a combination of mechanical factors that could not be repaired in time, being mindful of a number of aspects including animal welfare. During the preview of the first race the lure carriage became dislodged from the rail, damaging the rail, the cable and the carriage itself. On assessing the damage and delaying the first two races maintenance staff advised all issues could not be repaired in a reasonable time frame. Stewards, acting on that advice abandoned the meeting under GAR57(4).
With maintenance staff aware of the requirements to fix the damage they anticipate that it will be repaired in time for tomorrow night’s trials at Angle Park however we will continue to update participants of progress tomorrow.
In regard to tonight’s abandoned meeting prizemoney for each event will be divided evenly as per LR70(2).
