5 For Bewley At Gawler
Kevin Bewley had a cracker of a day at Gawler winning 5 races across the 12-race card, a new record for the Lewiston based trainer.
The day started perfectly for Kevin, taking out the trifecta in race 1 with Danger Dan, Breaking Stride and Molly Holly over the 400m Maiden.
“Danger Dan was from the first and only litter I have bred and it was my first winner from that litter. His litter mate Molly Holly finished third also which was a great feeling on top of the trifecta.” A proud Bewley explained.
Races 5 and 6 both proved successful for Kevin jagging 1st place. Race 8 Kevin almost landed the trifecta again with a 1st and 3rd and then rounded out a successful day at Gawler winning race 9. Bewley managed to place 9 of his 13 runners, an outstanding strike rate for the day.
“We had a few new owners recently come on board through syndicates for Right Exit and Coco’s Dreaming. Some of the owners were on course today helping me box and catch so it was a great thrill to have them involved at track to see their dogs win in person.” Bewley continued.
Today’s winners added to Kevin’s 3 wins this week, an impressive feat for a kennel of his size, who looks to be on the up and up.
“I have picked up a few very handy runners recently who have a lot of potential. I am excited to see how the likes of Coco’s Dreaming and Sugar Prince develop this year.”
The Bewley kennel looks in good stead for 2021.
