Racing Queensland advises that The National Straight Track Championship (NSTC) Final has been rescheduled to 19 December 2021 at the Capalaba Greyhound Racing Club. All participating states (GRV, GRNSW, GRSA, and RQ) remain committed to the series.
Queensland state qualifying heats will commence on 5 December with the state qualifying final on 12 December. Nominations for the heats will close on Friday 3 December at 9.30am.
Interstate qualification will take place at Healesville (GRV), Richmond (GRNSW), and Murray Bridge (GRSA). All state finals will carry prizemoney of $5,000 to the winner.
South Australia's qualifying dates at Murray Bridge will now be Tuesday November 30 for the heats with the final on Tuesday 7th December.
Two greyhounds from each state will qualify for the NSTC Final at Capalaba worth total prizemoney of $37,500 ($25,000 to the winner).
Whilst there is currently restricted access to Queensland for some parts of Australia, on Monday the Queensland Government announced that it is aiming to allow fully vaccinated interstate travellers to enter Queensland without the need to quarantine from 17 December 2021.
However, if an interstate trainer is unable to travel to Queensland, the Capalaba Greyhound Racing Club have advised that interstate-based greyhounds are able to be hosted by Club for the purpose of racing in Final. These arrangements can be made by contacting the Capalaba Club on 07 3390 2772.
Full NSTC series conditions, including eligibility to nominate, will be available on the Racing Queensland website shortly.
Finally, RQ and the Capalaba Greyhound Club have rescheduled the TAB Anniversary Cup at Capalaba as a result of the NSTC. The heats will now be on 7 November, with the final on 14 November. The race is open to all grades and the final is worth total prizemoney of $12,600.
