2018 STATE OF ORIGIN MATCH RACE SERIES – SA V VIC
This morning nominations closed for the State of Origin Match Race series between South Australia and Victoria which will be held at Angle Park on Thursday, 27th September. GRSA received 10 nominations from South Australia and 5 nominations from Victoria.
The GRSA grader has rated all greyhounds nominated in order with the best 4 greyhounds from SA and best 4 greyhounds from Victoria to compete in the series next Thursday night (1 – 4). Under the conditions of the series the grader has used all information available to select those greyhounds. The graders decision will be final. Those greyhounds not selected from Interstate will be given the opportunity to solo trial or race in another event next Thursday night. Reserves will be declared with one from SA and one from Victoria to replace the States representative if scratched. For example the SA reserve will only replace an SA scratching.

The confirmed matches and box draw for this series will take place on Monday (24/9).
The grader will finalise the head to head matches with the two 1 rated greyhounds competing against each other and then it will be 2 v 2, 3 v 3 and 4 v 4.
Prizemoney for each individual match will be - 1 v 1 – Winner $3,750 unplaced $500, 2 v 2 – Winner $3,500 unplaced $500, 3 v 3 –Winner $3,250 unplaced $500, 4 v 4 –Winner $3,000 unplaced $500.
Overall State of Origin winner (based on overall times) $5,000, second $2,500, third $1,000
