He’s A Villian last night for trainer Lisa Rasmussen continued his love affair with the 600m at Angle Park with an all the way win in the Shane McQueen final taking out the first prize of $5,000.

He has now won 9 races with 10 placings from 26 starts over the 600m and confirmed his position as one of the best middle distance greyhounds in the state. He’s A Villian has been dominant over the 600m but can also match it with the best over the 515m sprint which is a credit to his ability and training feats of Lisa Rasmussen.

In what was an outstanding final He’s A Villian started at eachway odds however when he found the front early from box 7 and sped away from his rivals he was quickly odds on for victory. He ran a blistering 8.84 lead time and 21.62 to the back with both Lochinvar Akira and Footluce Diva giving chase. As heads turned for home He’s A Villian was in no danger going on to win by 1 ½ lengths in a sizzling 34.91. Ash Flash for Troy Murray again rattled home from the tail of the field to grab second spot on the line, just ahead of Lochinvar Akira for George Rehmann who battled on well.

He’s A Villian’s overall record now stands at 15 wins and 23 placing’s from 76 starts and career prizemoney of almost $50,000.

On the presentation dais Tony Ramussen on behalf of his wife was rapt with the performance of He’s A Villian and was appreciative in winning the final named in honour of Shane McQueen who was an excellent greyhound administrator starting his career in WA before becoming the CEO of GRSA until his untimely passing in 2003. Tony also thanked owner Scott Feltus from the Winning Circle Syndicate for his assistance over the journey.
