2015 Champion Puppy Final
2015 CHAMPION PUPPY – BOX DRAW
Two entertaining semi finals were conducted last night at Angle Park where the first four from each race qualified for next weeks 2015 Champion Puppy final.
The first semi final was taken out by the Ray Murray trained Von Dousa who jumped brilliantly from box 5 to sit second early before powering away from his rivals over the concluding stages to win by over 4 lengths. He rated a handy 30.07 for the 515m journey and defeated Rhynstone Jetta who ran home well after a fair beginning and Aston Tulloch in third who lead them up until the final straight. Von Dousa has drawn the extreme outside and will need another excellent beginning to put him right in the race however he is very strong and will be one to look out for running home. Rhystone Jetta has drawn perfectly in box 1 and looks a very stong winning chance due to the nice draw.
The second semi final was taken out in impressive fashion by series favourite It’s Classified for trainer Troy Murray who continued his winning streak by making short work of his competition. He jumped to the front from box 2 before recording a strong 6 length victory in a sizzling 29.71 and is clearly the one to beat in next weeks final. He defeated kennel mate Aston Eclipse giving Troy three runners in next weeks final with Raglan Gun returning to something like his best form in running a nice third.
