2013 Triple Adelaide Cup Heats
Five heats of the Triple M Adelaide Cup will be drawn for this Thursday night’s (3rd October) meeting at Angle Park. GRSA received 36 final nominations for the Group 1 series with 20 from South Australia and 16 from Victoria. GRSA decided to support all those greyhounds that nominated for the series and will draw all greyhounds into the heats.
The Interstate nominations are led by last start Group 1 Megastar winner Peter Rocket for Victorian trainer Keith Hellmuth. The Victorian trainers have come to SA with a strong lineup of contenders which also include Group 1 National Sprint Championship placegetter Tomac Bale, Group 2 Warrnambool & Bendigo Cup winner Ronan Izmir, Group 3 Coffex Coffee SA Oaks winner Kokoda Spirit, Group 3 SA Oaks placegetter Iona Seven and Group 2 Horsham Cup placegetter Bubba’s Dream.
Local nominations include Group 3 Schweppes SA Derby winner Ernie Bung Arrow for Ken Gill looking for his 12th win from 13 starts and consistent open company performers Encosta Kahn for Kathy Johnstone along with Kalden Kurageous for Troy Murray.
The Triple M Adelaide Cup Final carries total prizemoney of $107,500, with the winner to receive $75,000. With five heats the winners and three fastest second placegetters will progress through to the Group 1 Final on Thursday 10th October.
