TELLING THE TAIL by The Shadow

With the Shadow away in the darkness, our form assessor from SA.THE DOGS has cast his eye over tonight’s Angle Park meeting with his preview below.

Race 1 - Very even race to kick off a good night here at Angle Park. JUBILANT (4) on top, loved his effort last week when he didn't have much luck early. If he can cross over to the inside, then he will take heaps of beating. BACK TO WORK (2) will stick to the inside and keep pinching runs. MURPHY MCLAREN (5) has strength on his side, just needs some luck.

Race 2 - Intriguing little race this and it will pay to watch the market. Jovanovic doesn't muck around with slow ones and I think CANYA EXTREME (4) will show his true ability here. Should get every chance with the small field. BEWITCH (1) will absolutely be well prepared for her debut here. SPRINGVALE BREE (2) is super strong.

Race 3 - ANNA VALENTINA (2) is overdue for a maiden win and I am pretty confident that she can get it here. She is strong and knows how to use the inside, just needs to get around the #1 early and she should be too good. SPRING MARRISHIA (4) is also deserving of a breakthrough win, has strength. ZEBERIAH (5) will be ready to roll.

Race 4 - Ripping little race this and plenty there's no shortage of chances! SUTTON EBONY (5) really caught the eye last week when dealing with outside pressure early. No speed to her outside tonight, she can land close. FANTASTIC ADA (3) is classy and will be looking to lead all the way. VICTA CHRISSY (7) is super strong. Chances don't end there.

Race 5 - Very even race this, can't write any of then off. KEEP IT ZIPPED (3) gets the nod thanks to the draw. He's a smart youngster and has strength to work with. I think he can slot in behind the #2 and really threaten. WEBLEC MARQUISE (4) is airborne, she will run well. OREGAN FAVORS (1) is perfectly drawn again here.

Race 6 - Great race this! Some high class chasers engaged here. VERSATILE (6) for mine, just think she can zap over early and if she does that then she's a winning chance. SENNA WICK (2) clearly has the good draw and he has both speed and strength to work with. MY KHALEESI (3) is strong and will enjoy being drawn on the inside.

Race 7 - A real treat to have a dog like NOT WITHOUT (2) here in SA. He's a rocket this bloke and has some run some mind boggling times in NSW. Lost confidence recently, but if he returns near his best then he will win here. MINTER FROST (6) is no mug and will give the favourite plenty to think about here. LOCHINVAR ALOISI (3) will be strong late.

Race 8 - Good final this and a few promising middle distance types engaged. Any of these can win. ASCEND (3) on top just with the draw, think he might be some value and able to push through early. NOWHERE MAN (2) led them last week and can do the same again here. DAINTREE GRANITE (4) would just need some good fortune midrace.

Race 9 - Some tactical placement here from the Grgurovic team and they have all but 1 in this field. BETTER DEVIL'S (2) to get an overdue win here. Trying really hard recently and she looks set for a dream run under the #1 early. STARBURST CANDY (4) will be looking to crash the party, has some class and is strong. PRINCESS CORDITE (1) can lead them up.

Race 10 - Wow, this is red hot. Small dartboard job, none of these will be afforded any errors. EULER BALE (1) broke the track record on Monday night, so it's pretty hard to not have him on top. Just needs to repeat that beginning. FANTASTIC TOMMY (3) is going well, just needs a couple of clean strides off the mat. ZINFANDEL EVIE (8) is lightning early.

Race 11 - With a bit of confidence, MISTY GREY (4) goes on top here. Really taken by her heat effort on Saturday and I think she gets the room she wants tonight. Obviously needs to jump well, but she will be hard to beat if she does. DEANO LINCOLN (2) is the huge threat, perfectly drawn down low. EXCUSE (7) has the speed required to offset the wide draw.

Race 12 - Last of the night to send the punters home and on a value perspective it's RANGE OUT (7) on top. Thought he looked good early in the heat but was just afforded no room. Wide draw is more suitable and he can upset the fave. STEVIE LEE ROSE (1) was awesome on Saturday, just needs to handle the early pressure. SMOOTH VIXEN (2) is well drawn low.
